location issue

check-in nightmare

the karrawa's location was quite distant, making my treks into town really tiresome. the check-in process was a nightmare, not as smooth as you'd expect for such 'highly rated’ place. i also woudl ve been looking forward to a complimentary upgrade, but alas, that didn't happen. i almost wrote a good review, but just couldn’t.

Delicious home-cooked breakfasts that set the day right.

While the guest house is in a quiet area, the location is frustratingly distant from central Kirkwall. It's a real trek to get to the town center, and the walk feels lengthy, especially when carrying luggage. the check-in process was not as smooth as I hoped, making my overall experience less enjoyable.

i had a fab time at karrawa guest house! the hosts were super welcoming, and the breakfasts were delish – i mean, ur gonna be stuffed all day after. my double room was nice and tidy, and i got some good sleep. the location was a chill walk to town too, which was cool. totally worth it for a cozy stay!

We had a great time staying with friends! The spacious room and clean ensuite made it comfortable. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with varied choices. We visited the local museum and the stunning cathedral, both worth it. I highly recommend this spot for a cozy group getaway!

The only downside was the walk to explore the town center. it felt a bit long after a day of sightseeing.

We had an awesome stay! The king double room was warm and spotless, with great amenities like a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and body soap. There was also a nice patio outside. The daily breakfasts were well-cooked and made our mornings perfect. Perfect hospitality all around!

This cozy place was perfect for our family of seven! We loved the tasty cooked breakfasts and the host was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The room was spacious, allowing our kids to play comfortably, and everything was spotless.

My kids wished the Wi-Fi was faster for their streaming.

Couple's ideal getaway

The host was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home when we arrived. Breakfast each morning was something to look forward to, with plenty of options to choose from, that Scottish breakfast was filling! !

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but considering how nice everything was, it was still worth it.
